Spaghetti Dinner: 4-6pm; Sponsored by GHS Girls Basketball
Due to technical difficulties that have been associated with the statewide AMP testing this Spring, the Alaska Department of Education has decided that it would be in the best interest of the students to cancel AMP testing for the remainder of this school year. Assessments play a very important and vital role within our district. Since we will not have this important data point to guide our school and instruction, we are going to place even more emphasis on our last MAP assessments for the year. We will look to these assessments to highlight the areas of growth and celebration for this year, and the areas of need for next year. Please start having conversations with your children on the importance of the upcoming MAPS assessments. The testing window will be May 2nd- May 20th. If you have any questions regarding the cancellation of the AMPS assessment, or upcoming assessments, please contact the school.
April is national Child Abuse Prevention Month, a time to learn how we can all take small steps to help Alaska's kids grow up safe, happy, and healthy. Alaska Children's Trust (ACT) invites you to show your support for Alaska's kids by dressing or decorating in blue on Go Blue Day, Friday, April 1.
Since there is no school on Friday, we encourage all students and staff to wear BLUE on THURSDAY, MARCH 31.
