· The Glennallen S Report Card to the Public for the 2011-2012 SY is now available. The Report Cards can be found on the district website www.crsd.us by clicking on the Parents & Students tab and then under Docs & Forms. Options for a paper copy will be provided upon request or copies will be available at Parent/Teacher Conferences on March 20&21.
Future Educator's of Alaska Club will be sponsoring a Read Across America Day on Thursday. Students are encouraged to wear pajamas. High school students will buddy up with elementary students to read. In addition, classes are encouraged to decorate their classroom door with their favorite Dr. Suess book theme. The day will end with a video of Dr. Suess' Cat in the Hat video. Read, read, read!
There will be an early release day this week on Thursday, February 28th. Students will be released at 1:10. Friday, March 1st is an inservice day and there will be no school.
There will be a PTO meeting in the loft upstairs in the commons today at 3:15. An ASB meeting will follow at 4:00 in the loft. All are welcome.
Glennallen School will host the Regional Basketball Tournament this weekend. Five schools in our conference will be at Glennallen School from Wednesday evening through Sunday morning. Games will take place on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday. Please come help us support our basketball players on to victory!
Glennallen junior high volleyball team hosted their last game of the season last night against Kenny Lake. The girls won 2 out of 3 games and celebrated the finale of their season with a victory! Thanks for coach Amy Sparks for her dedication to the team. Great job Panthers!
Hobo Jim visited Glennallen School last week to entertain students in grades K-5 with his lively music. Kindergartener, Madeline Hamby, helps Hobo Jim sing Puff the Magic Dragon. Thanks to Yvette Delaquito for helping make this visit possible! It was a fun assembly.
The Mites, Glennallen's youngest hockey team, is learning a lot and owning the ice! Here they are against Tok a few weeks ago.
The basketball games last night against Tok noted a successful victory for Glennallen teams. In addition, we celebrated Senior Night. Seniors, Kelti Lorence, Cassela John, Kiersten Amrine, Carl Martin, Brady Parmenter, and Dakota Voyles were honored as it was their last home game as seniors.
Glennallen Junior High Volleyball team hosted a tournament this weekend. Teams from Tok, Valdez, Kenny Lake and Glennallen participated. Glennallen girls got third place! Great job girls and coach, Amy Sparks. Also, thanks to the parent volunteers for helping make this weekend a success!
