The front office has recently been receiving far too many phone calls AFTER 2:30pm for bus transfer slips. Our secretaries are doing a wonderful job trying to process them, but AFTER 2:30pm, it gets very busy and becomes a scramble. The handbook states that we need to get those calls by 2:30pm. This is so we have ample time to process the slips, locate your child in any given particular class, and get the note delivered. Ideally, it would be nice if we received the transfer request from you in writing, but know this is not always possible. Please help us by making your bus transfer request as early as possible in the day, but no later than 2:30pm so that we don’t have to hold up any buses. Thank-you very much!
It’s time for another fantastic Free Digital Learning Workshop sponsored by the Association of Alaska School Boards and Connect Alaska. This is the second in a series of hands-on workshops designed to help individuals, families, artisans, and businesses turn family photos and videos into interactive digital books, develop an online presence, and learn how to participate in the online economy.
If you missed the first workshop in September, it’s not too late to join and participate in learning about the amazing resources available. Time and assistance will be given to past participants to work on projects that they started during the first workshop. For new comers, you will be amazed at the resources available to you.
The National Archery in Schools Program (NASP) has recently qualified a couple of our teachers to begin a secondary school archery program. Here Mr. Gerlach is providing instruction to the JH students during their exploratory class. A big thanks goes out to Becky Schwanke for making it all happen.
There will be a Veterans Day assembly in the auditorium November 11 at 2:30pm. Everyone is welcomed.
