In school years 2015-2016 and 2016-2017, 20% of evaluations will be based on student achievement data. It goes up to 35% in 2017-2018 and 50% in 2018-2019.
The regulations mandate that administrators and teachers work together to select two to four assessments for use in the evaluation process. There are many more details included in the regulations. Today, teachers and administrators from throughout the district began identifying appropriate assessments. They will be meeting in the coming months to formulate the Copper River School District's plan for implementing these important new regulations.
