The students of the Copper River School District were very fortunate to have motivational speaker Donteh Devoe in Glennallen to talk to them about making positive life choices. Growing up in the Anchorage area, Donteh DeVoe was exposed to criminal activity and drug addiction at an early age. Soon he became addicted to the fast life, and making money was his mission. After his second prison term, he began to understand his potential and worth. He is now the author of a treatment manual entitled "From Hustling to Healing" which highlights overcoming the addiction to a criminal lifestyle. He has been featured on numerous news outlets for his continued involvement in positive community efforts which include reentry housing and mentoring youth through public activities. He is an entrepreneur and public speaker with a passion to encourage and inspire, and seeks to continually motivate, change, and redirect the lives of men and women alike. The CRSD community was fortunate to be touched by his words of inspiration and thank him for his passion in helping students realize and maximize their full potential.

Friendly reminder that there is no school on Monday, January 28th. We will be having parent teacher conferences from 1:00 pm-6:00 pm. We look forward to seeing you there! Please contact your school if you have any questions.
