Slana School is excited to announce on May 14th at 6:00 p.m., we will host an outdoor Commencement Ceremony in front of our building for the Class of 2020! PLEASE NOTE: IN COMPLIANCE WITH AK MANDATE 16, ONLY THOSE DIRECTLY INVOLVED IN THE CEREMONY MAY EXIT THEIR VEHICLES but everyone is welcome to come and enjoy the day. We look forward to celebrating the hard work of our two graduates: Thomas Abraham and Tyler Emerson. Once at the school, please follow the directions of our parking attendants. You can join us via Facebook Live to watch the ceremony realtime for those unable to attend. A video recording of the ceremony will be posted on the Copper River School District Remote Learning and Teaching site for anyone who is unable to watch the live stream. Kenny Lake School is happy to announce that we will have an indoor graduation ceremony on Friday, May 15 at 6:00 p.m. to celebrate the accomplishments of our three seniors: Izaak Nelson, Joseph Hardy and Jacob Gottschalk. Due to COVID-19 mandates, we will not be able to open the ceremony to the general public, but we plan on streaming it on Facebook and will hopefully post the video on our website.

GLN: Stay connected while you’re staying at home! The CRNA BHS Team has a variety of opportunities for people of all ages to engage in enrichment activities, participate in encouraging and supportive discussion, and gain life enhancing resources to promote our individual and community well-being. Glennallen Schools: In response to COVID-19 Scholastic has developed an online book fair so that students may still have access to new books at an affordable price. This is a reminder to all Kenny Lake School families of middle and high school students to have your student DAILY check their emails and Google Classrooms for assignments, updates, etc.  

Teachers are sending out invites for Zoom meetings, Google Classroom, and other things. Students need to check their CRSD email account to accept these invites. Please ask your children to check email so they are ready for school on Monday.

For Glennallen students, we will be distributing Chromebooks at these locations on Friday, March 27, 2020. If you are not able to meet us at one of these locations, please call the school to set up a different arrangement. Parents will need to meet us to sign the CRSD User agreement before a Chromebook can be given out. GLN: Following the advice of experts concerning the COVID-19 virus and minimizing its impact in Alaska, the Glennallen Schools are temporarily closed to the public. All facility use agreements are postponed indefinitely. Updates will be provided as received. Thank you for understanding. Stay home and stay well.

Spring Break Extended: CRSD will be extending its Spring Break for students another week due to concerns surrounding the COVID-19 virus. We understand that this will be a challenge for families and have made this decision based on safety concerns. More information will be sent out in the days ahead.
